to school for senior IT execs
REPRESENTATIVES
from a number of Chinese software companies are currently in Ireland
to improve their technical and management skills. Some 13 senior
technical personnel, including six vice-presidents, from eight of
China's main software firms were in the country to learn from the
successes of the Irish software industry and to develop commercial
relationships with local firms.
The
representative have come to Dublin for advanced technical and management
training at the Centre for Software Engineering (CSE) at Dublin
City University. The Chinese representatives will be undertaking
full training in software engineering over the next six months and
are hoping to meet up with representatives from local companies.
The
CSE, which has provided training and mentoring support services
to the software industry in Ireland for the past ten years, entered
into a formal arrangement with the China International Talent Exchange
Foundation last year to assist in the development of China's emerging
software industry. Among the Chinese companies being represented
in Ireland are Hunan Computer Company, Supertech Data Systems, CVIC
Software Engineering and Whuan Gemway Information Systems.
